Welcome to POLYCHAR 23

23rd World Forum on Advanced Materials
Lincoln, Nebraska, U.S.A.
May 11-15, 2015
The Local Organizing Committee invites you to join us at POLYCHAR 23. This conference will be hosted on the campus of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL), one of the top 100 universities of the U.S.A. UNL is located in the Midwestern city of Lincoln in the state of Nebraska and accessible by ground and air.

This is the 23rd World Forum on Advanced Materials, also known as POLYCHAR 23. This conference follows a large number of PolyChar conferences that have come before it and have established a measure of excellence and a special culture of friendship and collaboration for this forum. These include recent PolyChar conferences in Rouen France, Siegen Germany, Dubrovnik Croatia, Gwangju Korea, and most recently PolyChar 22 was held in Stellenbosch South Africa in 2014. This is the first time after over ten years that conference is returning to the U.S.

The POLYCHAR conferences are a forum for presentation and discussion of polymer characterization, properties, synthesis, processing and manufacturing. PolyChar 23 hopes to provide the participants with an exciting range of presentations in these areas, and provide the opportunity for participants to meet and discuss with experts in their fields. In addition, POLYCHAR is the forum in which the Flory Prize is presented to a distinguished researcher in the area. The conference also has a strong tradition of promoting students and young investigators, which it does through prizes and awards.

Being in the Midwest of the United States, POLYCHAR 23 provides a host of opportunities to see and feel the culture and sites of the central part of the U.S. We hope you take the opportunity before and after the meeting to visit some of the natural wonders that this part of the country has to share. We look forward to hosting you in Lincoln,

Mehrdad Negahban, Local Organization Chair
